Business development project of composite materials
NBL's CW FRP pipe is for oil well down hall tube (2-3/8 to 4 inch), hot spring well casing (4 to 14 inch) and oil line pipe (4 to 42 inch) which is made with Centrifugal Winding method developed by NBL with about 45 years R&D. This technology R&D project is granted by NEDO, and ranked as A award by Kyoto Investigating Committee. This FRP high pressure pipe's characteristics is no corrosion, stronger than steel pipes, and has twice better product quality and 100 times better productivity than FW FRP pipes. Since this pipe could be provided as same price range as steel pipes, we have got market high evaluation and inquiry. The market is 10 billion USD (a trillion JPY) and needs is about 1 million pieces.
